Wolfram Alpha is not a search engine but a computational knowledge engine: it generates output by doing computations from its own internal knowledge base, instead of searching the web and returning links.  There are so many fantastic things you can do with this.  You can ask it for examples or go into the subject directory; there’s even one on nuclear physics…

10 Top Tips for Blogging

Just because a blog is informal it doesn’t mean that you don’t need to follow the tips below: 

  1. Stay on topic.
  2. Stay informative.
  3. Old news is not news.
  4. Adhere to a schedule.
  5. Clarity and simplicity.
  6. Keyword-rich.
    If the goal of your blog is to increase your visibility, include related keywords in the title of the blog.
  7. Frequency.
  8. Spell checking and proof-reading.
  9. Use plenty of pictures and multimedia
  10. RSS.
    RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication and Rich Site Summary.  It will increase your blog’s reach. It is important that you include your blog’s content in an RSS feed to increase readership and distribution.
